Own a Chop Stop Salad Franchise in Portland

So you live in Portland and are interested in a great chopped salad franchise? Welcome to the Chop Stop tour of Portland, friend. Your city is practically custom-made for a Chop Stop restaurant. Step aboard the trolley and we’ll show you what we mean.

First stop, the famous Portlandia statue by Raymond Kaskey. It depicts a woman holding a trident in her left hand, reaching down with her right hand. What’s she reaching for? A salad of course! (Tho for liability purposes we have to warn against eating one of our chopped salads with a trident.) One look at her classical proportions, and you know this is a woman into eating healthy. She would no doubt approve of a healthy restaurant franchise such as Chop Stop colonizing her fair city!

Next stop, the “Keep Portland Weird” sign that appears at the opening of – you guessed it – the Portlandia TV show. Well if franchise opportunities for stay at home moms sounds weird to you – then Chop Stop fits right into your fair city! Did you know our first franchisee was actually a stay at home mom for 18 years before opening her first Chop Stop restaurant? True story! You can hear her describe the experience here. And PS, she just opened her third location in three years.

Now ladies and gents, look off to the right and take in the famous White Stag Sign (aka the “Portland Oregon” sign). Designated a landmark in 1977, it depicts a stag jumping over – well, something. Not so different from jump-starting a salad business of your very own! Follow the stag’s lead, friend, and go into business for yourself.

There’s nothing like the freedom of being your own boss. Take charge of your destiny – grab life by the stag’s horns and make it into something you love.

Have you made it this far into the essay? Then you must love reading, friend! And I’m sure you know all about Powell’s City of Books, the largest independent new and used bookstore in the world. It takes up an entire city block. Lots of vegetarians come here for their vast collection of specialty cookbooks. Chop Stop will come as good news to these folks. Tho not entirely a vegetarian franchise, we certainly cater to that market! With our “build your own salad” option, customers can craft a salad that’s friendly to any diet under the sun, be it vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, keto, atkins. Anything except a fasting diet!

After eating a delicious meal at Chop Stop, where do you go for dessert? Voodoo Donuts, of course. Just like we’re the best salad franchise, I’m sure all true Portlanders (Portlandalenos?) will agree that Voodoo is the best donut chain, having originated right here in your fair city. It’s practically an international tourist attraction these days. “The magic is in the hole,” is their slogan. (No, I didn’t just blush saying that, I’m simply a little red from their eating their jalapeno jelly donut.) Chop Stop’s slogan, by the way, is “more than a salad.” So coined because, when you chop a salad so fine you can eat it with a spoon, the taste, texture and everything about one of our “chops” is superior to a normal salad.

We’ll finish up our tour at the Paul Bunyon statue in the Kenton neighborhood.

You remember Paul, he seeded apple trees throughout the pacific northwest.

Just like you can seed Chop Stop locations throughout Portland! Our low cost franchise requires less time and money to get up and running that more traditional franchises. We have no cooking, no grease traps, no hassle. What’s that? I’m mixing up Paul Bunyon with Johnny Appleseed? Geez, you Portlanders (Portlandiscans?) are a literal bunch, aren’t you? The point is, Portland and Chop Stop go together like Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox.
